When will the book be available for purchase?
The book Divine Identity: Exploring 20 Names of God was released in May 2025. See the purchase page for several vendors available to purchase from.
The Companion Guide is currently in author editing. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed on our progress on that work.
Where will the book be available?
The book and Companion Guide will be available in print bookstores upon release. If they are not on the shelf, you can request them by asking customer service for "Divine Identity: Exploring 20 Names Of God." Currently, only the book is available.
The book and leader guide will be available on eBook platforms within 60 days of their print release. The eBook platforms are Amazon/Kindle, Barnes & Noble/Nook, Apple/iBooks, and Google/Play.
Our books will also be available on our website trinityscrolls.com and our publishers. Bulk orders can be placed at the publisher for churches, universities, and groups.
Our newsletter and social media will provide updates. Sign up for the newsletter on our website’s newsletter page. Social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, are being developed.
What is the difference between the book and the Companion Guide?
This book serves as a primary resource for learning the 20 Names of God, acting as both a Bible study guide and a reference. It provides commentary for those without a Bible, facilitating individual or group studies. Each participant should have a copy for effective referencing after the study.
The Companion Guide complements the main book with additional resources for both new and seasoned leaders, as well as those seeking a deeper study of the material. The Companion Guide offers suggested lesson plans for each chapter to guide the study, particularly for new group leaders. The guide includes clarifying background information on topics such as BC/AD dates, the Hebrew calendar, controversies surrounding the dating of the Exodus, archaeological data, and engaging icebreaker games and music suggestions relevant to biblical themes. The Leader's Guide is intended to supplement, not replace, the main text.
There are many names of God in the Bible. Why do you only cover twenty?
The Bible does contain many names of God, more than the twenty we cover in this book. The names selected take the reader from the foundational personal name of God and cover the covenant names, or titles, attributed to Him. The authors spent seven months researching and a year drafting this work before submitting it for publication. Then spent several additional months with the publisher in copy editing, page layout, and cover design. The book is 250 pages long, comparable to most Bible study books. Its size is substantial yet manageable. We welcome feedback on covering additional biblical names via the contact form on our website!
